Lucas Haneman is a deeply passionate performer, songwriter and improviser, playing guitar since the age of 6, and in more recent years becoming a highly respected band leader as well.  He is a strong unique musical force wherever he is present, be it tearing it up on electric guitar with the Lucas Haneman Express, looping and trading vocals with Megan Laurence in their acoustic duo, or captivating a room as a creative solo performer.

Haneman has found his true musical voice with his band "The Lucas Haneman Express" (a fun filled, bluesy and funky musical ride) featuring Haneman as the bands chief songwriter and  guitarist, along with three of Ottawa’s best Megan Laurence (vocals), Martin Newman (bass), & the band's newest addition Val Nehovora (drums).

The Express has shared the stage with legendary artists such as Dave Matthews and Robert Cray (just to name a few), and were nominated for best new act at the 2018 Maple Blues Awards.
